    looking for a decent graphics card for my desktop

    i have an asus motherboard A8V-VM
    AMD ATHLON 3200+ CPU
    1.3GB RAM
    ON BOARD GRAPHICS
    ON BOARD SOUND
    the board supports pci-e x16
    i have a samsung 32 lcd tv that i use as a monitor would a graphics card improve the picture quality ???
    anyone recommend a good card for me ???????????:lease:

    What for gaming or just for windows?
    Being that your CPU and PSU is a bit weedy I wouldn't use anything more than a Nvidia 8500GT or ATI 2400/2600

    just for windows really i play all my games on the 360

    is my cpu slow for games?? what is the max cpu that i can go with this motherboard??

    i want to upgrade the pc anyway so any help about cpu,s graphics cards,psu,ram or any other components send them my way thanks :)

    Can support dual core, probably need updating firmware though. If you want a performance boost change the CPU to a dual core, and just buy a cheap passive PCI-E videocard. A videocard with dedicated RAM will free up that 128MB that's shared. 1.3GB memory is fine.
