I can't believe it channel 118 on sky is now ITV3  The GPLUS website confirms that the channel is dead. This is the first i have heard about it and am a bit peed off as plus was one of the few channels i liked with shows like, Sherlock Holmes, and Columbo. Another nail in the coffin of my sky subscription.

    HI Keaney,

As much as I would love to, I simply can't agree. Granada Plus was a waste of space, and has rarely shown anything half-decent that hasn't been on umpteen billion times before.

On occasions, you might get some unseen or rare show, but other than that, the Granada Plus channel was total pants.

ITV3 will be much better, as long as you like more modern British/US crime shows! (Which I do, I might add!) Hence, it's no loss for me, but a biggish Thank You to Sky for giving me ITV3 instead!

But Sky haven't given us ITV3...
It's on Freeview but not Sky Digital...

But you have to have a subscription to watch on Sky on channel 118. So is not totally free.

Well as long as we don't get old repeats of the Bill or CSI Miami then fair enough, but quite frankly ITV2 is shockingly bad, so what other dross can they dredge up to put on ITV3?

I'm annoyed about the loss of Granada Plus, it had some nice old comedy shows on. I can see my parents cancelling their Sky subscription as they only really watch UKGold and G Plus.

Since ITV bought SKY's share of GSKYB they now have access to all that programming, some of it will turn up on ITV3 sooner or later.

Perhaps TUTV will be a better option now for ma and pa?

I don't think Top Up TV is going to be an option for then as reception is dodgy at best around here. I seem to remember that Sky was offering some kind of service where there was no subscription charge - like Freeview, anyone know anything about this ?
