I have the opportunity to pick up direct from Panasonic what they classify as a refurbed Plasma, bearing in mind that the screens obviously have to work and Plasmas cant be refurbished as such and that they come with a full Panasonic warranty.

Has anybody else ever done this? And were there any drawbacks. I have had some stuff from them before (S-VHS video and 28" TV which had box damage only - in fact most of the stuff is only box damage) and have been more than happy. I dont have any qualms regarding buying refurbed/graded stock at all but considering the apparent delicate nature of Plasmas I'm a bit unsure.

I can pick up the 42" PA20 for £2088 and the PW6 for £1700 which seem like a good deal. Have been waiting for any news on a possible PHD5. Given the choice, what if any would be the best bet?
