GPRS on a V3

    Having some issues with GPRS on my V3 - I have downloaded the latest setup via text from the O2 website but when trying to connect it just says "Browser Setup is Incomplete" I tried deleting all the GPRS and getting the O2 stuff resent, restarted the phone etc but still getting the same.. anyone had something similar and if so how'd ya fix it???

    Below are the Motorola V3 GPRS WAP Pay Monthly settings


    Please note all steps must be completed to ensure the settings are correctly configured.

    The phone has a 4-way directional ‘Navi’ key and 1 softkey above (menu) and 2 softkeys to either side of this. The Navi key can also be pressed in to select options.

    To insert the required symbol (e.g. : / . @) into your settings, simply press the 0 key, highlight the appropriate symbol and press the Navi key to select.

    1. Press the Menu button (button directly above the Navi button).
    2. Scroll to ‘Web Access’ and press the Navi key to select.
    3. Highlight ‘Web Sessions’, and then press the Navi key to select.

    If no Settings have been defined, choose ‘New Entry’, and either Select (the right softkey) or the Navi key.
    If a set of settings exists, highlight and press the ‘Menu’ softkey (centre softkey), to edit.
    Highlight ‘Edit’ and press Select (right softkey).

    4. If necessary – new settings - highlight ‘Connection name’, press the Navi key to select then enter ‘O2 GPRS WAP’ and press OK (right softkey).
    5. Highlight ‘Homepage’, then press the change (right softkey) to select. Enter wap.o2.co.uk. and press OK (right softkey).
    6. Highlight ‘Gateway IP 1’, then press the change (right softkey) to select. Enter ‘193.113.200.195’, and then press OK (right softkey).
    7. Highlight ‘Port 1’, and then press the Navi key to select. Enter ‘9201’ then press OK (right softkey).
    8. Ignore ‘Domain 1’.
    9. Highlight ‘Service Type 2’, then press the Navi key to select. Highlight ‘Wap’, then press Select (right softkey).
    10. Highlight ‘Gateway IP 2’, use the Navi key to select. Enter ‘193.113.200.195’ Then press OK (right softkey).
    11. Highlight ‘Port 2’ then press the Navi key to select. Enter: ‘9201’, then press OK (right softkey).
    12. Ignore ‘DNS 1’. Leave blank.
    13. Ignore ‘DNS 2’. Leave blank.
    14. Highlight ‘Timeout’ and press Navi key to select. Select ‘10 minutes’.
    15. Ignore ‘CSD No. 1. Leave blank.
    16. Ignore ‘User Name’. Leave blank.
    17. Ignore ‘Password’. Leave blank.
    18. Highlight ‘Speed (BPS)’ and press the Navi key. Select ‘14400’.
    19. Highlight ‘Line Type 1’, and press the Navi key, Select ‘ISDN’.
    20. Ignore ‘CSD No. 2’. Leave blank.
    21. Ignore ‘Username 2:’. Leave blank.
    22. Ignore ‘Password 2:’. Leave blank.
    23. Highlight ‘Speed (BPS) 2’ and press the Navi key. Select ‘14400’.
    24. Highlight ‘Line Type 2’, and press the Navi key. Select ‘ISDN’.
    25. Highlight ‘GPRS APN’, and press the navi key. Enter ‘wap.o2.co.uk’. Press OK, (right softkey).
    26. Highlight ‘User Name’ and press the Navi key. Enter ‘o2wap’. Press OK (right softkey).
    27. Highlight ‘Password’ and press the Navi key. Enter ‘password’. Press OK (right softkey).
    28. Select ‘Done’ (left softkey).
    29. Highlight ‘O2 GPRS WAP’, then press Menu (centre softkey) key to select.
    30. Highlight ‘Default’. Press select (right softkey).
    31. Press Back (right softkey) 3 times to return to the standby screen.
    32. Press the Left softkey 3 times to exit back to the standby screen.

    The GPRS WAP Pay Monthly settings are now complete. However, if you are still experiencing any issues using this service, please contact O2 Customer Services.


    Once you have installed the settings into your handset and saved them, please switch off your handset and switch it back on. This will activate the settings for you.
