I have had enough of this open warfare.
And I, along with the vast majority of posters on here, have had enough of desperately poor service from GP's at our local surgeries!

BIB: That's somewhat misleading, isn't it?NO, they're not. They are working within the guidelines issued by the NHS. GPs are working harder than ever and they are now treating more patients than ever before. Of course a Private GP would be less rushed and not be pushed for time - they are also asking £150 for the privilege and are under no pressure to treat a certain number of patients. GP surgeries are fully open but hey have to work withing the Covid guidelines issued to them. Just because you can't see this does not mean it is not true.
My wife is a GP who runs a large surgery group that is having to deal with increasing numbers of fully vaccinated staff being off for Covid and also deal with he rules that determine how they interact with patients. Calling GPs lazy is insulting and frankly childish. It is disappointing that so many people have this attitude about something that they have little to no experience of.

There is a lot of mis/disinformation going on at the movement, some from known trolls. (not you apolloa)
My guess is that the results wouldn't be true, another example of their dishonesty. Our local surgery has just had the gore to (as they put it) "proudly publish the results of our recent patient survey".
Well, I think it should be nominated for the Booker Prize as a work of fiction!
They claim that 60% of their patients are satisfied with the time it takes for them to answer the phone and 88% are happy with the GP appointment time they are given.
My own experience is over 60 mins and over 4 weeks respectively, so I'm tempted to conclude that the survey must have been restricted to the staff and their relatives!
Certainly, if they believe these results, they're fooling no one but themselves.
..as in it's between 9 and 5? given that they don't mention the date of the appointment88% are happy with the GP appointment time they are given.

All sorted for them now, no need to strike.
Covid: GPs can defer some services in booster jab push
England's GPs can delay routine health checks for over-75s if clinically appropriate, NHS chiefs say.www.bbc.co.uk
Something not quite right with it all isn't there? I'm totally convinced everything the government is involved in and any decisions they've made on covid are motivated by money.I am glad they can now be paid £15 to £20 per shot plus travel expenses on Sundays, and other work they haven’t been doing.
I know it’s totally ridiculous to suggest, but if the government had any common sense you’d have the GP’s seeing people and doing their day jobs and not be involved in giving out the vaccines, whilst an army of volunteers and nurses gave the vaccines out. Without paying anyone any money to incentivise them to do so. But this country is going to the dogs more and more each day it seems.

They've proven that they want to dish out the rules to the public and follow the rules or else, whilst all the while ignoring them themselves. You're suggestion would be spot on but of course would never happen as money couldn't be made out of it.
Been to drs surgery twice in two weeks for routine tests...
