Good luck with that, how much can you fit on a hard (giggity) drive and how much ink you got?

Then there is the issue of the kids taking the wrong print out for the school project.

Then trying to airplay/stream the family film evening and the titles start.......

You're thoughts seem a little overly erect here and in danger of priapism!

Good point.
Using the fear of children easily accessing pornography to gain control over societal behaviours. I wouldn't accuse that theory as cynical at all. It's realistic.

it's all about control, even youtube are clamping down, do a search on things like 'ufo' and all you get back are search results for articles from newchannels instead of the old 'conspiracy' channels etc...unless you know the names of the channels etc then you aren't going to find them... :(

"Back ups."

If you can afford one hard drive you can have two.

And how exactly do you deal with torrents? That seemed to be a problem years ago. Still nothing.

Access to online porn in the UK will be subject to an age verification check sometime this year. The aim is to reduce children being able to gain access to such material.
This was supposed to be implemented a couple of years ago. The implementation has been continuously been put back as the government hasn't actually worked out how to implement it yet as all the technical advice so far has basically been it won't work. I would not surprised if it is delayed yet again when the new deadline approaches due to the fact it is practically impossible to implement successfully.

In the end the actual solution is education. Education of parents to actually monitor their children and what they maybe trying to find online and why certain things may not be a good idea to seek out. Education of children as to what this stuff is and the various ways it can impact society for good and bad.

A few more from the cockblockers.

MPs expenses: Jacqui Smith knew husband had been watching pornographic movies

Jacqui Smith, the former home secretary, has revealed that she and her husband argued about his use of pornography before her expenses claim for two blue movies was made public.

Home Sec Amber Rudd: Yeah, I don't understand encryption. So what?

UK Home Secretary Amber Rudd has once again demonstrated she does not know how encryption works, this time by explicitly admitting it to delegates at a Tory party fringe conference where she also hit out at "patronising" techies that "sneered" at politicians.

The EU just made porn filters illegal

The European Union has voted through legislation that will require all internet providers to treat online traffic “without discrimination” – effectively ending porn filters established by David Cameron.

The EU should make more of this. This could swing the Brexit vote.

When pondering how much gold glitter to add to my water feature so that it glinted nicely as the light reflected off the golden particles that showered down from the nozzle.
My Google results were not quite what I was looking for.

No idea with torrents. I am finding this all a bit of a titter as people get offended at the government control.

I am taking this very very very very very seriously.

Blocking Twitter then are they?

I've yet to find a VPN that not only works effectively yet doesn't share your IP details (edit) with 3rd parties.

People will always find ways around censorship. Tor browsers are still freely running, active and when used in conjunction with a VPN service operated in a law free haven are so secure for potentially illegal deeds to be conducted it takes FBI level investigation with multinational involvement to attempt to crack.
VPNs are a massive headache for Governments and law makers alike.

NordVPN is based in Panama, doesn't keep logs, and has no obligation to respond to UK law enforcement. There is also no evidence to date that they've sold any data to any third party.

NigerVPN based in Abuja is supposed to be good. You even get a share of a princes fortune when you sign up.

All the ordinary computer illiterate are going to be signing up for NigerVPN......

problem is who will they turn to to get restitution. That will mean owning up to, er, reading it only for the articles.
