Got some new Mission m34s. Just started using them last night, but sound wasn't that great to one that Ive heard before. Would I need to run them in before they sound good? whats the best way of doing this.

Also Ive got wooden flooring, and used the domed spikes instead of the sharp spikes. Is this ok, or would I benefit from using spikes and putting something underneath it?

Quite a few speakers do sound somewhat flat and constricted until run in fully, and this may be your problem.....the easiest way to run them in is simply to use them....there are all manner of running-in regimes used by various folk, but do remember to use music with a reasonable dynamic range, and get the volume up a bit at times(within reason!).
You mentioned a speaker you'd heard before...what was it?....and as gonzo, says, the rest of your system is just as important when it comes to the overall sound of a system.
