Finally got my reciever. went into richer sounds to purchase the denon avr1907. but ... was told this would be better.

it looks great and sounds superb. only question i have is will the component upscale the same way that the denon does. its something i need really and i know richer sounds have a good policy on returns and i can nip over on thursday if i need to.

yeah, the denon does with its video inputs doesnt it?

says : "Video upconversion is now available via component " so the cambridge wont do this. hmmm i may have to go into richer sounds and ask for a swap. what are they like for this sort of thing?

Are you looking for switching component inputs or converting s-Video to component output. I don't understand.

When you swap the amp over, you will notice musically the denon is no where near as good as the CA amp, films wise they should be fairly similar though.
