got my panny 32".....patch on screen...any suggestions?

    there seems to be a coloured patch on the screen....middle of bottom stretching up to the middle of the screen....

    also the bottom left hand corner has a slight curve to the picture.....are these problems fixable?

    any suggestions as to what i do now....

    little bit disappointed....

    another question..........ive read up about the patches and degaussing....but what causes the picture to curve slightly at the bottom left, especially on 4:3 setting.........i can watch in widescreen mode and its less noticable, unless a logo comes up..........

    they are sending an engineer out on tuesday, and said he can fix this without opening it up.....is this true...or are they going to get my set straight back....

    sorry.......first post had a couple of errors...it is the 36" tx36pl32........

    was a bit rushed in my disappointment.........please post if youve bought on eof these....


    ps using sqart ixos scarts.

    As far as I know I thought magnetic fields can cause the screen to be gaussed. I thought it was only CRT screens that could be affected though. If this screen can be affected and it is a gaussing problem then yes it can be fixed be degaussing the screen. Generally do-able through a menu on the screen, for example on a PC Monitor. Can't imagine it is a gaussing problem though, in a non CRT screen.
