    Well, it may be about to be replaced (depending on which rumour you listen to), but I finally upgraded from the (almost prototype?)E20 to the HS2 with it's nice 40 Gb hard drive (like 9 built in RAM discs).

    What a machine!

    - Ultra slim unit;
    - V slick mirrored finished;
    - No mad searching for a disc to record something about to start;
    - Better editing with ability to divide one recording into into seperate programs;
    - Absolutely no pause on edit points (ie where adverts have been removed);
    - Record in XP (high qulity) onto HDD; edit, then leave machine to transfer to dvd-r; (no more hooking up a RAM player alongside);
    - Easy recording of a 2 hour 20 minute film (E20 FR mode only worked on timer record!);
    - 9 nice colourful menu styles to finalise your disc;
    - Smart media reader to display your digital camera photos straight onto TV;
    - Record onto the hard drive and watch a DVD at the same time;
    - Still got the DV in (like the E20) for my camcorder.
    - Paid the extra £30 for multi region too!

    If this machine were £200 cheaper, there truly would be no competition...

    Ian's (mighty happy) two pence worth!

    Thanks for the review, I thought I wanted one to replace my E20 and now I KNOW I do!

    So how do I convince my wife it's a must have?

    Suggestions please!

    I was lucky enough to sell my E20 to a DV camcorder owner; a significant selling point...

    Had it not been him, there were family members lurking in the wings waiting to buy (for a lower price admittedly)...
