Well so much for the Canon!

Packaging was a bit tacky, no security seal. Manuals were unopened, lense was wrapped but no seal, same goes for the camera. No protector on LCD.

Is this normal for the package?? It was their last one (I won't name this big store!) so I couldnt compare to another box.

It went right back!

It just felt used.

where did you buy it? I bought mine from jessops and the guy calmly walked over to the cabinet and put the display model in a box. I had to ask 'excuse me, is that the display model' before he admitted it and asked if I wanted a 'new' one. Amazing.

They didn't have any in stock, but Maidenhead did, so I went and picked one up from there.

Sorry to butt in, Jessops had 10% off their dslrs yesterday but it ended 5pm

Also told me they had stopped trading in old cameras too!

Even with that, they would be miles off their 'internet' matching deal at £499. They still have the 350D and kit lens at £579

That's true, but going by what happen yesterday I would have been stuffed if I got a duff package, and all the hassle of sending it back by post!

I paid £579 (buy now pay november). Sometimes you have to close that chapter of your life and look ahead

Then I almost immediately bought a big crumpler bag, a 28-135 IS lens (£200 used, good price!), and a 50mm 1.8 to play with DOF

So far its moving slowly, but I'm loving it.

Jessops will match internet prices in store, though only from their own sites. Well, thats what they advertise anyway.

I think they did, but they now advertise that they will match internet prices from two sites www.cameras2u.com and www.shopping4cameras.com, both of which are their own domains. When I enquired about it they still requested a print out of the offer and I got a bit shirty telling them that they should know the prices on their own site. They won't combine offers though, so no matching and 0% credit.
