It must have:

2x HDMI
Component
Support HDCP
1080 or 1024 x720 resolution

Would be nice to have DVI for the PC.

Picture quality is above all my most important thing. No sound is required. No freeview, no text. Just a screen :)

Please can people help me with this baffling choice :):)

You'll only need to spend about half that - even for a 42".

The Panasonic TH-42PX60 ticks all your boxes, apart from DVI. It does have a D-SUB though so you can use that for your PC.

That is one hell of a price, under £2k for the 507xd ?
But ive looked into the company and they dont exactly get the best reviews in the world, infact they are rather poor to say the least.

Anyone got anything to add to help dispell the myth ?

It's over £2000 after delivery.... but the same price here...

And S&V have a real shop and a none-0870 phone number.... however, they are both based in Bolton and have almost identical prices. I have asked before if they are the same company and been told they are not. I asked Digital Direct if I could collect and save the delivery but they wouldn't let me. On that basis I would go for S&V as you can actually see real people there.
