Google Wallet?

g'day chaps!

i've had the one x for a while now, and loving it.

now when I bought it I was aware of it's NFC abilities. I was a little giddy with geekyness when I learnt I could possibly pay for things simply by tapping my phone against a terminal.

but I can't seem to find Google Wallet on the Play Store. christ, even non-NFC phones can pay now thanks to that barclay card sticker!

so is anybody able to pay with stuff using their phones? what are you using?

At the moment Google wallet is not available in the uk, but Google have said that they hope to have it ready in time for the Olympics with retail partners.

The problem is that just like in the US every bank/network is working on there own proprietary method for NFC/mobile payments so it makes it very difficult.

They need to stop messing around and come up with a industry standard.


But I have had a play with the nfc though I've mainly just read nfc tags and used android beam
