Goodmans GTVL32W25HDF at Sainsburys

Hi, im new to LCD tv's and was about to buy a Samsung when i saw this one in my local Sainsburys. Its 32", £350 and has built in freeview, as does the samsung. The only difference i can realy tell between the 2 is the contrast ratio, samsung is 5000:1 and goodmans is 600:1. Is this really that important? Also, i will need to mount it on my wall....are all lcd tv's wall mountable, if not does anyone know if this goodmans model is????....

The contrast ratio of 5000:1 is NOT realistic at all...it's probably dynamic contrast too The 32" LCD you are referring to here is the same as TATUNG 32" LCD...a very good tv-set that has recieved a lot of positive attention....Especially on price vs performance

To check if the set is wall mountable just look for the words "Vesa Compliant" it will probably be VESA 100.

To be honest even if it isnt there are conversion brackets to turn pretty much anything to VESA standard then you can buy just about any mount.
