What a waste of time and money the Goodmans support line are!
Here is their solution to the problem of a GHD1621FD that will do nothing except display CH20. No buttons either on the remote or the unit will do anything. Try this I was told.
Switch off
Disconnect all cables from the back of the unit
Leave for at least 10 minutes
Re-connect the cables
Turn back on
Press the Standby/on button to turn it on
The Goodmans screen came on
Press the Setup button
Nothing happened, none of the buttons either on the machine or the remote control do anything.
OK said the support person "Your machine is hung and as it is over a year old you have to contact a repair agent" Duh!
Has anyone solved the problem of the GHD1621F2 hanging?
Can I fix anything myself?
If not then it's going into the bin and I'm buying a Topfield and I will be very unkind about Goodmans to anyone who will listen.
