Goodmans GDVD169HD upscaling dvd.. any good ??

    Hi all, im after a really cheap upscaling dvd player and have seen this one for £40 on the tesco direct website .... i was hoping someone had one and could let me know what its like for pic quality .... im tempted to take a gamble as its cheap. Any info is appreciated. Thanks :thumbsup:

    Goodmans are known for being cheap and nothing else. I seriously doubt this is any good at giving a decent normal SD picture, let alone an upscaled one.

    As my tv will most likely do most of the scaling it could be ok ..... i thinf for £40 notes its worth a punt ...... if its no good i"ll return it. Will post back with results.

    Well i popped and got one this morning to try ..... must admit that i was quite impressed ..... pic quality is as good as my 360 hd add on for standard dvds .... nice and sharp pic set at 1080i ..... for £40 i think its a decent buy for anyone looking for a really really cheap dedicated upscaler. :smashin:
