Good value bulk speaker cable and sockets.

I am going to be wiring up a room in a new extension with some speaker sockets. Can anyone advise on where I should be looking for these items?

Ebay does large reels of 2.5mm oxygen free copper for a great price and it will be perfectly good. If you want a branded cable then Van Damme Blue is another alternative for not a lot of money. TLC Direct are also pretty good for electrical stuff so could check there for speaker wall plates.
If you're looking to do it on a budget then I'd definitely have a look on eBay.

Wall plates are around £4 each and you should get large bundles of cable for under £1 a meter.

I personally use HDMI, Speaker Cables and Interconnects for Hifi and Home Cinema and for my last long run of cabling (approx 20m) from an amp in to the loft for some in-ceiling speakers I used Chord leyline 2. They will normally knock a little off so I got it for £40 in the end.
