    Looking for some advice please.

Due to space constringents and a missus that wants "clutter" kept to a minimum i need to purchase one of these integrated solutions.
I already have speakers, bass box etc from a prev defunct surround sound system.
Can anybody recommend an inexpensive mid range machine for me that will enable me to get digital surround sound from my tv/dvd.sky+ box etc.

    cheers

p.s if there's a unit i can buy that's wireless that would be perfect.

If you're planning on using speakers from a previous all-in-one home cinema system, then I'm afraid you will have to start from scratch as the speakers will simply be blown up by any av receiver and you will probably damage the AV receiver in the process. Yamaha AV61 or Denon DHT1356XP (available from same place) is worth a look on a budget or if you fancy an all-in-one solution have a look at the Sony HT-SF1100. I've no idea how it sounds but it seems to have a fair few connections. Do a search on it, I'm sure there will be a thread in the all-in-one forum. However, I would always recommend a separates system ie. AV receiver plus speakers. This is a good place to start looking just to give you some ideas. The onkyo 605 is pretty much in the 'in' thing at the moment as it offers HDMI1.3a compatibility and decent specs at a good price. Cheaper solutions would be Denon 1707 etc. plus say Canton speakers (see powerbuy in speaker forum)
