Hi all, ive been researching the PS3 and Tv's for a while now, I think im going to go with the PS3 over the xbox based on its specs and what it can do media wise. But both consoles are HD and currently ive only got a CRT SD.

Ive been considering getting the Samsung 32 inch for a while, model LE32R73BD(the one with the blue stripe, not silver). This should go very well with the PS3 as they are both polished black. My question is, is it worth getting a HD TV now or waiting till PS3 release? I have been reading about HDMI 1.3 and that TV's that don't support it are already out of date. Are there any TV's 32inch or smaller which support it?

Is there another TV which you could recommend around the same price which is better or would be a better choice, I can pick one up for around £580.

Also is 1080p available on 32inch TV's and is it worth it on a smaller screen? My viewing distance is very small compared to most, its going in a small room.

Everything ive seen so far on the PS3 looks great, looking forward to getting one :D , ive also been considering pre-ordering off play but apparently they have a poor track record for pre orders?

    Anyway Thanks for the advice
    Andy

One LCD HDTV I would suggest is the Sony Bravia W2000 series of HDTV's.

I'm keeping an eye on the Sharp XD1E series and successors. A nice 37" is pretty cost effective.

Good call. A 1080p LCD panel for less than a grand - and not too big. Is it any good?

So is the general consensus wait for something better? I wasnt really looking to spend that much being a student and all. So would you say its worth waiting for a smaller screen with 1080 and HDMI 1.3 rather than get the samsung?

    Thanks Andy
