I have an iPhone contract which runs out next month (cant wait to be shot of the thing!) however I was wondering whether I should keep it for a while until the NFC android phones start coming out, as I dont want to be tide in to a 24 month contract without NFC when it becomes big! I'd love the Samsung Galaxy but that doesnt have NFC yet. What do you reckon?

I'd hang fire for another month, if that's possible? A few manufacturers will show their next move during this time.

Another month or so is nothing compared to another 24 months.

This is what I was thinking, maybe signup to a month by month SIM only and see what happens in the next few months. Especially as Ice Cream Sandwich is out soon. Looking forward to see what it can do!

The one thing it should bring is proper support for dual-core chipsets (or greater than dual-core) as all the current dual-core Android phones aren't using them properly, as the OS can't use them correctly. ICS should change that, so it will be a big jump in performance and battery life if done correctly.
