    Hi,

Can anyone recomend a good source for studio equipment (i.e. stands, flash guns, reflectors).

I know Jessops do a few starter kits but as we all know they are not the cheapest around.

    Cheers

Try www.speedgraphic.co.uk all sorts of studio stuff at good prices (good all round company as well) They are mail order only, but you can download their catalogue as pdf.

    Thanks for the replies.

I think the starter setups are a little out of reach at the moment.

I may get a 580 Speedlite to go with my 420 and use them for the moment. Does anyone know of any stands that will take a speedlight 'shoe' fitting so I could mount the 420 on a stand and wirelessly link it to the 580 ?

    Thanks
    RB

I just stick mine on a tripod - there's a threaded tripod mount that comes with the 420.

Ok, so there is a thread in the plastic shoe table mount that comes with the 420 ?. Can't say I noticed it on mine but then I was not really looking for it.

Already have a 420 and can get a 580 for £260 so I am tempted.

    Cheers
