Hi All,

I've been looking at projectors for sometime and really need to test some, I don't even know if I'm affected by RBE on DLP projectors yet.

The Panny Ax100 or the In76 seems to be favourite at the moment.

On a searate note, I also need to test speakers so any recommendations on good sound shops would be great too.

Thanks alot,

Si.

I'm having the exact same problem in Suffolk. I'm starting to think I should just buy a DLP with good reviews and hope I don't mind the RBE.

Eastern audio in Ipswich is pretty good for audio testing, they have speakers on a huge switch box, but I don't think they do anything visual, just hi-fi.

Such a shame Sevenoaks in Ipswich shut down. I've no idea why it did.

Perhaps what is needed is a list of people who own particular projectors in various areas of the country who would be prepared to demo their kit to others?

I found it a real problem to get to see a good spread of makes, models and types and in the end just didn't get to see as many as I would have liked.

By the way i'm in Norfolk and have a HD1 :)

Horsham Hi Fi (in Horsham :) )has a selection of DLPs (mostly Sim2) so you could give them a call and see if they have anything you might be interested in:

The first link to 'special offers' seems to point to an old 2003 web page of theirs. Click on the 'special offers' link at the top of the page to get to the latest stuff,

Excellent, they even have the Infocus In76 as an ex demo.

Think I could be taking a cheeky trip out tomorrow :)

Thanks alot!

Hi Gary

Thanks for pointing out the problem with the w/s.

Should be sorted now.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the messages, I'll be in contact within the next couple of weeks for a demo.

Cheers, Si.

I've used Nexnix in West Sussex in the past for a demo of the Z4 & HC3000. They seemed to offer a pretty good service. Not sure they still do demo's but you could give then a call to find out.

They now call themselves by the following name:

Nexnix have moved out of Horsham, West Sussex.
I think they are now based at Russell's house in Bolney.

Hi Jeff,

Would it be possible to come over on Saturday 28th May AM ?

Cheers, Simon.
