    hi guys

i have a Denon A1 and A1SR at present but am looking at HCPC setup

my budget went last year on the above so i can't spend a shed load this year

probably a Revo 7.1 to start with......

obviously the picture quality should be better if set up right but soundwise how will it turn out?

generally its dvd only with occasional tv.

any advice on how much difference there'll be in the sound?

    thanks for any help

Using S\Pdif out you wont notice much difference to be honest. I have the Revo and the S\Pdif isnt noticeably different to any other soundcard S\Pdif Ive heard.
The difference is much more noticable depending on what DVD playback software\filter you use.

I currently use Zoomplayer that allows me to use Sonics video filter and NVDVD's audio filter.

I tried all the audio filters and I like the NVDVD over the others. I was actually gobsmacked at how much difference there was between them all.
