I've mainly moved to digital but I've a significant VHS collection that I'd like to play via my LCD projector. Can anyone recommend a good quality VHS player? I don't need recording facilities & would prefer not to pay for same. Do VHS players only exist?

I'm a newbie here, but having had a quick look through the posts, I can tell you that people here seem to like Panasonics and JVCs. For quality there now seems to be a preference to JVCs because Panasonic, whilst good in the past, have cut their range.

VHS only players do exist, but none that I know of have Hi-Fi sound. Also they generally cost more than a good VCR around £100 last time I looked. Argos have a JVC S-VHS / NICAM / Hi-Fi sound video recorder at the moment for £70 in my local store, a bargain.
