Has anyone tried running a good quality analogue source through their 2805? I was thinking something along the lines of a £400 CD player, or perhaps an external DAC.
I'm interested to know if you experienced an appreciable improvement in sound quality over the 2805's internal AL24 processor - in pure direct mode.
