Guys, the other half cant wait for ever for me to get decent pictures so wants a good reliable point'n'shoot to grab and shoot with great non fuzzy pictures, I'm totally out of touch with whats good and not so can you advise please, remember its non techy so no need for loads of settings etc etc

thanks

How about a Canon Digital IXUS 95 IS, £120 at play and amazon.

I'm normally Canon through and through, but I bought the wife a Panasonic Lumix and it's great. It is very good in low light, much better than my previous Ixus. I also like their menu and the easy to use rotary switch.

thanks guys, Lumix does look good, which model did you get philfyphil?

There's also a whole new lot of cameras being announced at the moment, it might be worth seeing what's coming out from all the manufacturers?

Dispite being a Nikon DSLR fan, recently we've always gone for Canon compacts. My daughter's Ixus 95 has been excellent, but for Xmas I bought the missus a black Ixus 120 and she *loves* it. Small, beautifully made and takes excellent photos on full auto. We really like the HD video quality as well.
