Just finished watching the new dvd of Season 1 of "Goodnight Sweetheart". Anyone else out there think that this is a great series and that the dvd is excellent, I especially enjoyed the writers commentaries. :) . Does anyone know when season 2 will be realeased - andhow many seasons there were altogether.

Worst series ever - you can not be serious! Maynot be the funniest but one of the cleverest with characters you felt you really got to know. Thanks guys for info and chat on this one. Anyone else have the dvd?

Hi, I'm a fan of this series,
I've a question, does anyone know the title and author of the book that Gary Sparrow (Nicholas Lyndhurst) is reading that provides him with specific dates and events during the war? Is it a genuine book and is it available to buy?
I haven't watched the series for a while but I think I recall it being called The Blitz, but that is all I know. I'm wanting to know the actual title and author..

It was very funny at times but it ran out of steam on occasions. Not really surprising given how long it went on for.

Does anyone know the full title of the book he uses as a reference for the dates/events?
Could it be called The Blitz: Then and Now?

I used to really fancy Emma Amos who was the second actress to play Gary's modern day wife.

    emma-amos.jpg

She went on to play Peter Davison's wife in The Last Detective. It's a wonder she didn't get the title role in The Time Traveller's Wife.

    :)

Was there a scene where Gary walked past a police box or am I just making that up?
