Moring guys and gals...

I have about £100 to spend on a DVD Recorder, but I have no idea whats good or bad! I currently have Sky+ and need something to copy my saved films/programs too..

My stand alone DVD packed in last night, so I thought I might as well upgrade too a recorder.

One thing, it must have digital co-axial and optical outputs for 5.1 DTS Surround Sound.

Other than that, I look forward to your suggestions,

Cheers, and a Merry Christmas..

Frodo..

Do you need on-board Freeview? Panasonic have a couple of DVD recorders that may suit, but you'll need to up your budget a little to grab them. However, you might want to wait until the Boxing Day/New Year sales start as you might be able to pick-up a bargain.

I'm sure that there are other makes out there in your price range, but I think that it's "safe" to stick with the well-known brands, just in case you hit any problems.

Thanks, no as I have Sky+ I dont need a freeview card built in..

I will most probably wait till the new year, but which models should I look out for?

Hi mate are you there? i can help with suggestions

Excellent. We could type for ages and i'm not the quickest typer in the world but if you drop me a PM with your phone number i'll call you to discuss. Alternatively you could call me it's up to you but a quick chat is ten times easier and quicker than threads for me. I'm a night owl so if you prefer let me know and we can speak in more regular hours.
Regards,
John.
