Have a set up of B&W 9NT front ,1NT back. Use is 50/50 movies/music and used up to now old 3802 on loan which I need to return.

Any recommendation/experience on music/movie quality difference between Denon AVC1SR or Denon 3803 + Arcam A85 or recommendation on alternative set-up is similar price range before I organize listening at my local dealer.

How about Rotel RSP1066 plus RMB1075.

Also listen to Pioneer AX10i, the top of the range Harmon Kardon - if you can put up with the looks - and a combination of a AV reciever with a good integrated amp like the A85 as you mention.

the cdm 9nts need a LOT pf power to work properly. i would suggest a cyrus av8 processor with rotel 1095 power or parasound halo 52 power - the parasound is not quite as bright.

Will the A85 be enough power for the B&W9NT?
