hey wondering on any good recommendations for a 720P compatible 32" LCD with componet/PC connection. Since the xbox 360 isn't going to have a HDMI/DVI connection thought I might go for a cheaper option.

    thanks for the suggestions

I know some plasmas mate (with component input, certified for 1080i and 720p), but no LCDs.

It also depends what you mean by 'HDTV' ready.

Any screen with 1024x768 or more can show HDTV in its full glory, as long as you have a convertor.
There are LCDs with with this, which have VGA ports (and sometimes DVI).

With this adaptor you could show HDTV via a VGA port:

You need 1280*720p there is many sets that have hdmi or dvi that dont cost more than a older one without. You may as well get one with. The samsung and the tosh seem to be favs around here.

Sharp GA6, JVC DS6, Panasonic DX500 - all well up to the task of taking component from theXbox 360 when it arrives.
Something a bit more fanciful? Try the Loewe stuff - a Sharp with better drive electronics. The bees knees apparently.
