    Hi everyone,

I have been out of the game for a while now so my current market knowledge has faded to non existent.

I have the opportunity to get an Acer V3-771G laptop (Mint condition) with the following specs:
    - 17.3 inch display
    - Intel Quad-Core i7-3630QM 2.40GHz
    - 8.00 GB of RAM
    - Nvidia GeForce GT 730M

However, it must be an EU version as it has an EU power socket. It is going for £250.

My current laptop is a Dell XPS 17 with the following stats:

    - 17.3 inch display 3D Display
    - Intel Quad-Core i7-2670QM 2.40GHz
    - 8.00 GB of RAM
    - Nvidia GeForce GT 555M

Things I hate about the Dell are the dodgy power socket that keeps falling out and the loud fan noise while running (All known issues)

Do you reckon its worth getting the Acer and selling mine?

    Cheers in advance

There is very little difference between the two in terms of CPU & GPU power, nothing of note anyway in my opinion. It really depends on cost I would say. All you'll be gaining will be the fan noise reduction and psu not slipping out. Depends how much that is worth to you...
