Good budget receiver

    Looking for a good AV receiver around £200 to £300 for my boss (he's buying!)

    Also decent speakers and cassette deck

    Hi there...Denon AVR 1802/1803 should fit the bill,as should the equivalent priced Marantz and Pioneer offerings.....all have decent power and facilities.
    Remember to listen(preferably at home)prior to buying,with the speakers you intend to use.

    I just bought the Yamaha AX630SE from Richer Sounds for £290 and it is fantastic. Classy stuff.

    More involved setup than the Sony STRDB930 I replaced but worth it for the great sound and the extra channel (6.1)!
