I actually have a screen in my bedroom - and i also like my bedroom VERY dark in teh morning while i am sleeping.

I would love to have the normal open/close blinds but i feel this is unrealistic as they let in light not only aroudn the sides ... but along each horizontal 'rail'.

So, unless anyone knows of a super duper normal blind .. i have decided to get a roller blind. Im thinking to put the blind inside my wall alcove and then just attach some cloth or velcro along the edges. My window is 1.25 metre wide and 6.5 metre drop.

Anyone know where i can get such a blackout roller blind? oh and if anyone knows where to get a special blackout normal open/close blind that would be great!!

    Regards

Somewhere like B&Q (www.diy.com) or john lewis would sell that sort of thing. John Lewis also sell blackout liner curtains.

    Try

    http://www.blinds.co.uk

    or

    http://www.blinds-online.net

You can get complete blackout roller blinds like photographers use but they are expensive (ie enclosed in a case to eliminiate light at the sides)

Try doing a search on google ... I remeber seeing a UK on-line company that sell them
