I've 'glanced' through several threads & feel much more informed than before, but was hoping for some good advice on 'universal' remotes (cheap). I am a Sony fan & have a RM AV 2000 for my Sky + & Tv on a link. My current main viewing I actualy use the supplied remotes for +, Tv, Dvd, Amp as required as the RMV cant do all I want. I've just got my pc a Winfast Tv card, a mini Sony Hifi with another link to + & a Sony Video. Time has come to sort out the remotes. Recommendations please. The RMV should sort all my Pc needs, but my main set up & Tv & + could do with sorting. Ebay vendor has the RM AV 3100 circa £70, but I was hoping to spend less!

You might want to consider the Mosaic. I know it is an old product, however BECAUSE it is old you can have it around £35 in eBay or £50 in Richer Sounds.

There are some threads here that discuss the Mosaic. There is also a proper review on remotecentral.com

Thanks hornydragon, I think I'll reshuffle my remotes. My RM av can do all the 'pc' things, the + remote tv & + link, & a 'new' main remote. These Harmonys look good. I think I prefer hard keys to touch screen. I've now got to consider if to buy, depends on cost really.

I'm waiting to see what they go for, normal auction problem is they may all go...Take the money.....................open the box. I hate spending money, as often as not the novelty wears off too quickly & a new purchase looses its shine. Particularly something like a remote that is probably used more than anything else in my house but is soon familiar, & familiarity breeds............

I see - good luck. I've just received my yearly bonus and am itching to spend it on a new toy - may even become a zealot!
