    Hi guys,

If you are given an option to buy a good 5.1 system versus an outstanding 2.2 for around the same price, which would be a better choice?

I'm stuck. My budget allows me to get an Infinity Oreus 5.1. Quoted around 530 quids.

At the same time, I was offered a pair of Infinity MTS tower + sub at 670 quids. Which I was told was an absolute bargain.

If you were me, would you consider getting the MTS and some cheapo-temporary centre and rear speakers until you got more cash? or just stick to the oreus?

Anyone with experience with the MTS?

    Cheers,
    Dan

p.s. related thread in receiver forum but I wanted a more "speaker"-oriented answer. hope I'm not too irritating.

IF a bigIF you have some speakers already which are pretty good or you can obtain them, get the stereo pair.

Worse case use the best speakers you currently have as rears, and run phantom centre
