The first time i saw this movie, i though it was ok, if not a bit crap. But i ended up buying it just for the cars. Anyway, after watching it three times now, i can say its much better. It grows on you. In fact, i think i'll watch it again tonight.

As for picture, great, but i did notice a bit of jitter. Maybe my DVD disc is faulty. And the layer change has to be the longest i have seen (2 seconds), they normally only last 1/4th second for me.

    Anyone else thoughts?

Yeah, the layer change is a real pig (about 2 sec on my Tosh). Didn't see any other problems though, and I agree, the films a 'grower'.

Try the original film too: comes with DD and dts soundtracks.

I had never seen it, but whilst on a shopping trip in New York decided to buy it.

I heard that it was pretty poor, but watched it for the first time on Saturday and REALLY enjoyed it.

But, I did get 1 stutter near the start.. But I went back to that point and it was fine.

The layer change was pretty good I think.. It wasn't in a bad spot, unlike some other films.

    BTW, I have a Samsung 709

AL,VB: the original GiSS, filmed in 1974 is available on dvd with dts sound.

I did prefer Eleanor from the remake though, far sexier than a Mach 1.

is the shelby mustang not just a boss mustang a little before hand.

    There's nothing wrong with a mach 1,
although it should have been a charger

    The Mach 1

    is based on the Boss

    The Shelby

    used the pre-Boss fastback body

but with a 428 ci (just over 7 litres) 360 bhp engine, this was upped to @ 400+ bhp in later years, but listed as 320 bhp for 'insurance purposes'. Other significant tweaks involved the extensive use of fiberglass in it's construction, most noteably in a re-profiled front end.

Saw it at the cinema and thought it was good fun - great cars, great sound etc... After buying it on DVD realised it wasn't quite as good as I thought, although the last 30 odd minutes is worth the money - great action and a sweet Shelby. [IMG]
