After receiving permission to post this from Stuart....Thanks

Hi all forum members, im just posting if it to promote one of my work colleauges who is hitting a golf ball from Landsend to St John O'Groats in a effort to raise £250,000 for The Variety Club and The Orpheus Centre. He is taking 7 weeks off from(hes self employed) work and has spent many thousands of his own money promoting the project. Not to mention the time away from his family he will spend, and the time he currently spends away from his family training. He already has many big sponsors Volvo, Ecco(shoes), Callaway, Lingfield Park Golf Course, uk-golfguide.com, Army.mod.co.uk and many many more....... A little bit of back ground on David, He is 41, a Builder/Roofer and a very nice chap. He always trys to help people out often at his own expense. He is the type of guy that walks round his local park picking up litter and keeping childrens areas safe and tidy.
He has two children Brianna who is 2 and Fred who is 5. He also has two step children Emily and Henry. He also has a loving and supportive wife Sally.Obviously as he is self employed he is actually going to lose money doing this charity drive but he believes its worth struggling for the sake of the charitys.

The amount of sponsor ship on the site is pityful at the moment but please remember it is the amount actually received. Now i know times are hard, but im asking, no begging people to support my friend on this challenge. Not only is it a very very worthy cause but it is also a world record if completed. Even if its only £1 that you have left on the side please donate it. Unfortuntely the way the site has been set up they dont accept paypal or no chex, they have there own system. But please take the time to donate. The system has been set up in this way to ensure the security of the money as it goes straight to the accountant.

Please please donate what you can as its a very worthy cause. And if you are a business that can maybe offer something then please also get in touch/

One of the Charitys is The Orpheus Centre http://www.orpheus.org.uk/ and the one everyone will know is The Variety Club http://www.varietyclub.org.uk/

All the info is here http://www.golfchallenge2005.co.uk/

I know you are all busy men/women but if you just get a spare moment please could you read it. And then forward it to any friends or business contacts that you may have, as one of the problems we have is the promotion of the web site as this tends to be very expensive and comes from the sort of group that dont normally do sponsorship

Heres a snippet from the web site.....

Bit of a plug for Volvo but you get the idea

Regards Gavin and thanks for the time, and thanks on behalf of David,The Variety Club, and The Orpheus Centre

Also if anyone has any ideas for further promotion then let me know thanks, as we are not experts in the promotions field

Please please take the time to at least visit the site
