Just recently been playing about with them and found some drastic results that have me wondering the validity of 'RGB is best'.
Has anyone else done something similar to improve 'normal' TV picture quality?
Personally, I've found a good, clean VCR RF signal to TV can be made to look an equal to SVHS.
    Any comments?

Yes things have improved in leaps and bound in the technology used to decode RF signals these days. Some of the components used in domestic TVs these days are the same thing we use for cleaning up very weak signals from fairly high orbit sats.

Its amazing the difference. I suspect some of the additional attenuation and stabilisation at the transmitter end is actually helping to improve the look quite a bit. I'd still have my doubts about a vcr feed though.

Haven't tried it yet, but maybe there's something in it! Might have to give it a go. [IMG]

I am always a bit sceptical of these kind of so called improvements just from cables alone. I will give it a try though...Do any companies such as Ixos produce good quality RF cables?

I bought some when I was in Kuwait and the difference is remarkable, any noise in the picture is eliminated!

Slightly off topic, but has anyone tried ferrite rings ?, I cut the ones off my old PC monitor cable and couldn't believe the improvements.

Try www.tnt-audio.com for more info on that one.
That's one I'm into at the moment for DIY audio interconnects.
