Well I have finally got round to speaking to my dealer (hi-fi/AV dealer that is :)) and I'm going for a demo this Saturday. They suggested partnering the AV8/P7 with some PMC FB1 or TB2 or something from the KEF XQ range. B&W wasn't an option as they aren't magnetically shielded (that's annoying). So I'll let you know what I think, I may have time to listen to the Rotel processor too.

I'm pretty sure that all B&W centre speakers and also the Nautilus 805s are magnetically shielded, so your dealer may be talking b*llocks. I should get that double-checked, if I were you....

I looked in the B&W website and it doesn't say they are, but that doesn't necessarily mean they aren't. I wonder if anyone else knows. I know with the PMC speakers magenetic shielding is an option.

I lied, the B&W website does say they're magentically shielded, I'll have to demo those too then.

Well, according to B&W's website, the following speakers are definitely shielded:

    Signature HTM
    LCR60 S3
    CC6 S2
    CC3
    Nautilus 805
    CDM CNT
    CDM CSE
    ASW2000
    ASW3000
    ASW4000
    ASW500
    LCR6 S2
    Nautilus HTM1
    AS1
    LCR3
    VM1
    LCR600 S3
    CM C
    Nautilus HTM2

Which speaker was it that you were interested in that doesn't appear in that list?

They do seem to get good reviews, just not sure I'm allowed to have floorstanders, we'll see.

i have cdm1nts they are not mag/shielded but one sits to left of tv slightly forward ,rear of speaker level with front of tv and about 4 inches away from side of tv, this does not affect my tv picture,

when originally demoing and if the speakers were put close to a lowe tv about 3 inches away from side they will pull the tv picture,

Thanks, I think I need the fronts to be magntically shielded just to be on the safe side. Once the tv is damaged it's too late :(
