If i choose to exploit my amp a bit more when i move into a student house next year, then i'll be wanting to get another speaker to take advantage of 6.1 sound.

But does that mean i have to buy TWO? Prefferably i need a B&W 601 S3 speaker to match my 2 surround speakers.

Most speakers come in pairs (unless you can find a 2nd hand single one!).

You could also try a B&W centre speaker, maybe like the one you already have. It also depends what amp/receiver you have as well, the Denon 3802 for example, has outputs for two rear centre speakers. In this case just buy a pair and connect them both up.
