(Slightly pointless post this, apologies for any wasted time) Completely ignored the 128bit powerhouses last nite and opted for some quality time with that marvelous slice of Kyoto's finest... Working through the rack, started with MK2. Best in the series IMO. Horribly dated nowadays, in terms of mechanics and AI (wasn't much good in '94 either). Kicked some arse with Liu Kang and Reptile. Funny how you can instantly remember death moves you haven't performed in 10 years! Quickly bored with this one though Next up, UN Squadron. Not much to say about this, apart from the fact that it is still AWESOME !! Hasn't dated at all. Still very, very playable (went though to completion). Seems shorter than before, though. Damn I love that napalm! Secret of Mana. Had a quick wander round the world, appreciating the music and general ambience that shouldn't be possible on 16bit hardware. SF2 Turbo. Cranked up the difficulty and got thoroughly wipped. By Dhalsim . Must be losing my touch... So I tried SFA2 and didn't fare much better. Programming a bit suspect in that version, too (my excuse, anyway ). Cheers, DT p.s. I can confirm that SNES Doom is still crap.
