I went last year with 'the fence' is was how it usd to be 4-5 years ago.

Been to reading twice, last time being 2 years ago. That would be my second best festival to go to.

    dont bother about a tent!
all you need is a sleeping bag and a survival sack (big poly bag that you sleep inside to stay dry) enter into the spirit, act like a hippy for a weekend by blagging everything else you need off perfect strangers.

top tip, dont sleep under the hedges or near the bins

top tip number two, find the Quaker breakfast ceral stand. its the only food there that wont give you the runs.

top tip three, avoid the security gaurds as they are, with the odd exception, the biggest crooks there

I think one of my mates if working there this year - might be security, might be as a roadie. Will have to find out and and take appropriate action

I've been 4 or 5 times before but not for about 8 years or so, everytime I went I took a shed load of supposedly useful things that spent the whole weekend unused in the bottom of a rucksack. This year i'm taking only the essentials - beer and rizlas :D

Just going to Saturdays' Vfestival at Chelmsford...
Normally go the whole weekend of either Reading/Glastonbury/Chelmsford - depending on the line up (or rumoured line up if Glastonbury  )

Ahhh the simple things in life are the best. Being p*ss*d in a field listening to music with the odd smoke................

Then by the time you get home sit in an 'oh so' comfy soft chair, switch on your widescreen and power up your amp you realise what you've missed most.

And I'm there for the 5th time this year, although we're quite a bit more prepared this year than previous years.

We've (me & my mates) now got 6 caravans & will be staying in the camper field.

However, these caravans have a combined value of £400 and their primary purpose is to enable us to carry more beer & rizla.

    Can't f*@'ing wait.

14 days 3 hours 13 minutes to go.....

    :D :smoke: :D

I feel ashamed to say, I am just taking a tent beer/wine (dont have to wee as much) and of course rizla and baccy. BUT I have some mates going down wednesday morning and setting up my tent. So should get a good spot.

Not long to go now... www.glastometer.co.uk

Don't leave too much in your car though. Had a fantastic time last year, but got back to the car to find it had been broken into and totally cleared out.
Wouldn't mind it being broken into again if I could get a ticket for ths year!

    What's happened to the Glastometer????

You'd think that it would at least keep time correctly as that's the pages sole purpose.

Apparently the time is set to 25/6 9:00am as that is when the gates open.
