      Many thanks for the review.

It sounds like they have rushed this out, And probably should have got another director involved?

Such a shame, I will still be watching obviously but they had so much to work with here.

I was expecting something akin to Logan :(

I was really looking forward to this, Unbreakable is great and has one of my favourite soundtracks. I only recently saw Split, no idea how I missed that one and loved it..

I'll still go and see Glass and hope it's better than a 5/10 to me..

The film only got released yesterday, you have to give a few days to get a good median score as most of those are just troll voting 1 or a 10 before the film is even launched.

That’s a shame. Was looking forward to this

All of M. Night Shyamalans movies are great ideas with great characters.
Just that some are let down by an imbalance either in plot development or the ending. They feel as though there wasn't a final check to see if all looks right and well proportioned. Like sending a ‘nearly there’ essay back to the student to adjust according to the teachers comments.

Even with flaws I look forward to his movies. At least he tries to be innovative and fresh.

I'm not surprised by the review, I thought Split was a big disappointment.

I'll give this one a miss.

I agree that 5/10 ids probably about the correct rating - maybe even slightly too high. The pace of the film is slow. McAvoy's acting is good. By the time the end twist arrived, I had already lost interest. Overall there are better films in the cinema at the moment. This is a shame as I really enjoyed Split.

      Nice review,

I'm a Shyamalan fan really, if you think about his catalogue of movies their are some crackers more good than bad personally. I would agree he does try to be to intelligent sometimes which comes across as lost in his movies and needs to be watched maybe twice to pick it up.

      regards o..

Interesting that you thought that. I couldn't get on with Split, and had the same problems with McAvoy's inclusion in this. I could just about tolerate him, but that was as far as it went. Nice to see Willis making a bit of an effort for a change though...

Well i think it is a great conclusion to the Unbreakable universe. Unbreakable had the original twist. Split was made 15/16 years later and no one even knew it was a continuation of the unbreakable universe.... made for $9 million with a box office take of $278 million. I think it's obvious why Glass got made so soon.Glass was never going to have the uniqueness of Unbreakable or Split I'll admit i was thinking it may have been a cash grab rush job but i thought it holds up well with the tone of Unbreakable and Split. As for comparing a $20 million dollar budget film to big blockbuster superhero films , well frankly it's ridiculous. One thing i particularly like is the continuity that holds through the Trilogy.... with the casting and the events. The ending has been described as divisive , i feel this is because it's not the direction some people wanted to see the film go ..... each to their own. I'm in the critics are wrong camp.

I thought it was ok. Some of the action scenes were a little awkward but I appreciated the film and story.

THAT SAID, one thing (one of a couple things actually) that really bugged me.
Why didn't "The Horde" just close his eyes when trying to make a break for it from the room with the lights?
What's up with that, Shamalamadingdong? Or was it explained and I just missed any explanation?

(It's not a spoiler if it's in the trailers so relax)

Yes it is some one avoids the trailer and goes into films on recommendations or a review.

Trailers often give away lots of plots and even spoiler hence some people avoid them.
Some members here wont watch trailer for films they know there going to. Im now avoiding e.g. Captain Marvel trailers.

May need to be a spoiler point !
I took it that the characters being able to take the light from other characters was in part from him being disturbed in some way i.e closing his eyes(being one)..... so the fact that the lights would induce him to close his eyes and therefore break a characters hold would explain why he didn't just close his eyes. I'm not saying you don't have a valid point BTW i'm just offering you what i think.

To quote the review "are we really expected to be surprised when , in a film called Glass , Mr Glass breaks from his catatonic state and begins to have a part in the action?" . Well no we are expecting it , was just a case of when..... no surprise involved.

Another review quote "it almost makes you forget that these characters are well-conceived , clever and unique. It's quite spectacular in part, and by the time you get to the end it seems like you might (maybe?) have seen something that had something to say."
So if it didn't *almost* make you forget .... well-conceived , clever unique , quite spectacular and seen something that had something to say..... then it not 5/10 :)
I think there was a lot of social commentary/observations going on within the subtext of the film relevant to whats going on around us today , so i think it did have something to say.
I also think some of the ending was dumbed down so the general audience would follow but that's spoiler territory.

Maybe, but I see it as a similar thing to people having seizures triggered by bright, rapidly flashing lights. I don't think that happens when the persons eyes are closed. I personally think it's just a silly oversight by the director.

I just think spoilers, unless blatant plot explanations are subjective. I mean some folk think being told about a twist (not the actual twist but simply being told a twist exists) counts as a spoiler.

I know for the future now so how do i make a possible spoiler hidden like you did with my post?

Watched it on Friday, I really enjoyed it, didn't find it slow at all and whilst the ending was a little different, I didn't expect it to follow a 'normal' ending. I'd give it a 7/10 and I thought James McAvoy was brilliant.

I'm normally grumpy and critical, but this was a 7 or 8/10. Worth seeing.
