In 1975 there i was minding my own business, I took one step off of the curb looked to my right and saw a purple Ford Anglia pointed toward me and about 2ft away! when I landed approx 40ft away from where i started my left Tib & Fib were pointed backward but not with my knee bent and my left leg was pointing to the left courtesy of my left femour being smashed:eek: I have heard it said that the average person will break 7 bones in their lifetime well my right leg was broken in 5 places and my left in the 1 so when i recently broke my wrist I was really happy because thats my 7 done and dusted:oops: well at least i hope it works like that:( How about you lot?

I once broke my little toe by catching it on a bannister as I was walking out of the bedroom. After I had stopped swering and hopping about, I bit the bullet and pushed it back in (as it was pointing out at a 30 degree angle from my foot):eek:. After yet more swearing and hopping about I went to casualty, where, after X-Raying, they told me that I had fractured it down the length of one bone, but had re-set it.

Needless to saw, I now do not walk around the house bare footed!

I broke my wrist as a kid, then a cracked rib while sparring. Finally I broke my foot and ankle while also throwing my motorbike up the road at 75mph.

Broke my wrist playing football, three fingers playing Rugby (and football) and damaged, erm', 'another area' when jumping in front of a full volley (net bound) in a footie match. Apparently you could hear both the slap of the ball 'hitting the target' and my cry of pain three pitches away.............

Oh, and on the motorbike thing, broke numerous teeth when coming off my mates bike at 70 when it seized solid and threw us both up 10ft into the air (according to a witness). I know this is blasphemy to many bikers, but thank God for my full face crash helmet. Without it, half my face would have been burnt off on impact!

    Takes a deep breath
Fractured my skull, broken one collarbone and chipped the other, broken left wrist, right forearm, three ribs, pelvis, femur and my left ankle is held together to this day by five pins.

And the really scary thing? None of the accidents broke more than one of the bones listed- ribs included.

see the guy in the paper with the 70% titanium skull?.... im sorta jealous

broke my foot on my 18th birthday, august 30th, started playing american football for surrey on september 24th, had to keep it quiet or they wouldnt have let me play!, strapped it up secretly and coated it in deep freeze, seemed to do the trick, thought i just sprained it but had an x ray done on my feet because they thought i might have spinal problems after my mum was diagnosed with a spine condition... doc said.. when did you break this ? i said... oooh 3 months ago? he said yeah you now have bone fragments all over the place..

    "cool" i said

as far as i know thats the only bone if done, tendons and ligaments however i have destroyed! fingers, thumbs, toes, knees, back, chest... mashed

    Hey,

My only major injury, was being knocked down by a car, at about the age of 14/15. Car wasn't speeding, but I was crossing the road, to return a videotape to Blockbusters. and I obviously didn't look both ways properly! (I could've sworn otherwise, but hey...!)

The irony is, that after I was hit, and came round a few moments later, I wasn't entirely aware of what had happened, and my only concern was that the videotape wasn't smashed to crap, and that it needed to be returned ontime! I had two people holding me down, to stop me from getting up, trying to get the tape and case (which were both okay), and physically hobbling over to Blockies to hand it all in! and :D

I only suffered minor bruising on my right thigh, and was in hospital for about 36 hours. Spent the next 2-4 weeks on a crutch, which I detested, and kept trying to walk without. Never found out if that tape got handed-in or not! :rotfl:

I once had my leg crushed against some concrete by over 20 tons of steel attached to a crane. Should have been enough to have taken the leg off.
    All I had was bruising!

Broke loads of Bones but never any of my own.:D

I once ran someone over. It was about 11.30 at night & the pubs had just kicked out (I wasn't drinking!). This p***ed up guy though it would be funny to stand in the middle of the road & pull a moony in front of me while i was doing 30mph (i'd only been driving 2 weeks)!

I swerved to avoid him & he staggered into the path of my car, bounced over it & landed on the road, trousers still round his ankles...

One broken leg & pelvis later (and accusations of attempted murder by his parents:eek: ), I was the one who was fined! 450 quid!! Was picking bits off my car for days afterwards.

could have been worse, he could have soiled all over your car on impact, and with his pants down that would have not been nice, your story made me laugh out loud!

Yes it's a good one for after dinner stories :)

To make matters worse, I had a ford cortina, which is probably why i was being mooned. I expect the guy's still picking bits of rust out of his butt...

18 years old - never broken a single bone. Touch wood.

Although I've must have sprained(sp?) my ankle about 6 times. 2 out of those times, I had to have crutches(sp?). Man was that fun - mind you this was back when I was 10/11.

It was a Honda 400/4. Great bike for it's size, but they had a problem with the cam chain tightener. If you weren't careful it would slack right off, and well, on this occasion it did, and fouled the cam in the process. Result - instant flight as the engine seized.

I was, and still am a great believer in wearing leathers. It chills me watching, in particular kids riding bikes in shorts and cotton jackets. My leather jacket, gloves, and boots were shredded that day - but I wasn't.

Broke 2 fingers at age 15 in a fight. Swung a big right at his boat race but he ducked and I caught him square in the forehead. My opponent was unmarked....
I once did a quadruple back somersault down some concrete stairs but was p155ed at the time and emerged with one small scrape on my thumb.
Loads of falls off bikes and skiing ragdoll falls but no other breaks so far.
