Anyone else think the MGSV results look suspect - both quality settings turn in the monitor's refresh rate? Does MGSV lock framerate without telling you?

I am interested in something like this to replace my aging Alienware, but nothing seems to quite tick every box I'm after - FullHD/GSync/15"/980M/i7/large SSD/no heat issues/not too heavy. AIBU?

MGSV locks it at 60FPS. I made sure the settings were all correct but it would not let the frame rate go any higher.

Heat output, graphics card power and weight are all related. You're not going to cool a very hot chip like a 980M with a lightweight cooling system without trade-offs (noise and/or throttling).

I have a similar spec laptop, 15.6" screen (as wanted something a bit smaller / lighter than my old 17" Dell XPS) from PCSpecialist; (Defiance II) had to get an external drive if I wanted to use DVD / BR Discs

I am very happy with it. I have only been playing CS:GO against my teenage daughter so far (who is currently kicking my ass!) and some XCOM 2. I have the new Tomb Raider and just bought Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor; so will give those a go later on this week
