    Hi,

I've connected my old Sky box to my positioning sat dish.
The positioning arm doesn't work any more so I manually aligned things using my basic signal strength meter.

Sky reports 100% signal strength and about 75% qualiy but I'm getting ghosting on moving images.

By ghosting I mean, for example, when a person on screen starts to move there's a small trail of the image left behind for a moment.

The LNB is a Humax HLSU01019.

Anyone any thoughts as to what's wrong?

    Cheers

Your signal may actually be overloading the tuner a bit - although I have not observed this problem watching $ky on a motorised 1.8 metre dish.
As an experiment, try moving the dish just slightly off the satellite such that the strength drops to less than 100% (e.g. 80-90%) but with a quality reading still at 60 or more.
Do the trails now disappear ?
