For those of you who went online last night - you will know what i'm on about.

If you didnt - when you log on, it automatically downloads the patch.

The patch is designed to make it easier to "see" games in the lobby, and make it easier to join them.

It does not adress lag, explosives on / off issues etc.

Well - it has made the lobby a nightmare as far as i can see. It now takes 3 or 4 times longer to find games.

When it finds them and you select one, the screen is prone to hanging on "connecting......" with no cancel option, thereby meaning you have to reboot.

This is hardly a step forward - took me 15 minutes from first boot up last night to getting into a game. When i did it lagged so bad i came out.

This great game is being let down at the moment, by Microsoft and UbiSoft.

Lots of people online were moaning about the patch last night. Question is - what will be done?

    :lesson:

Have a look at spikeys thread, there is more on this there.
I got the patch the other day & it only took 10secs max to find me loads of games:confused:

I have so far found that it is a bit slower finding games, but it finds more of them and is more reliable.

I will play some more over the weekend and see if I have any probs.

    Geoggy, agree,

I was also online last night (will invite you as a friend), and it was impossible to join games before they disappeared, it hung 3 times, and every game lagged at some point sufficient to leave it.

perhaps we do need private games with someone with a fat pipe

In order for more people to join the Latency limit was raised from 200 to 600ms, allowing more gamers on this also allows for more people with a bad connection to join.
One of the knock on effects is lag unfortunately.
Just stick with your friends list if you can and hope that something is done fairly soon although I doubt it.
    :(
