I don't think any first person shooter will work on the PSP. The controls are just too awkward. Coded Arms, for example, looked great, but it was just too hard to control effectively.

I initially thought the same of Coded Arms, however if you stick with it (and don't use the default controller setup) it actually gets playable after a while.

All-in-all it's not bad... it's not amazing, and could have done with some easy improvements before release e.g. the ability to control the 'mouse look' sensitivity.

IGN didn't rate Stand Alone Complex at all.

I tried just about every controller combo and I just couldn't comfortablely play it. It would have been a lot better if they just cut out the Y axis altogether.

it controls horribly, even after you've changed the setup to be more intuitive.

I quite like ghost in the shell. Playing through it at the moment. Its true that it doesnt play like a pc fps or console one with 2 thumbsticks. You can lock onto targets on this by pressing both triggers and it does seem to take any challenge out of the game really! Definitely an easy game but im still quite enjoying it, i just like the japanese console game feel to it and anime style. Definitely think its a better game than coded arms, if nothing else than because of the prescence of level design, none of that randomly generated box room after box room crap. Game may be worth a rental first tho perhaps. Its no classic but its alright. Didnt think id get used to the controls either but surprisingly feels comfortable and easy after a bit of getting used to it :)
