Anyone know where I can get a copy of this as it seems very limited. I just watched Gods and Generals and it states at the end of the film that it's the "first part of the Civil War trilogy with Gettysburg and the upcoming Last Full Measure".

Or are they planning a new 'special edition'?

    Thanks/...

BTW: Gods and Generals is an awsome film and would highly recommend it.

Is it real 5.1 DD? I've read on a few places that say it's 5.0, and i've read that it is indeed 5.1

Idoodle, if memory serves me right the R1 version of Gettysburg has been discontinued, so you'd better be quick to secure a copy.
Good to see that there are a few civil war buffs on the forums.
    regards,
    G.M.

GM, I am indeed keen on the Civil War along with other military campaigns.....in the last 2 years I have been lucky enough to visit Gettysburg battlefield(emotional), along with Rorkes Drift, Islandwhana, and the Alamo.

Chard,I've always promised myself an escorted civil war tour, but I've never got round to it.
Have you had a chance to watch Gods and Generals yet, how does it compare to Gettysburg?
I've ordered G & G just waiting for it to arrive.
    regards,
    G.M.

GM, no, I haven't watched more than a few minutes of G&G, I have lent it to a friend for a few days. He is very knowledgeable of this era and was very happy with it.
Good extras as well, there is a commentary track which should be useful to guide you throught the three main battles depicted. From what I have seen of this, it is on equal par with scale and action as Gettysburg. The only criticism from some sources is that it is a little 'preachy' in patrs, it is probably a little heavy for those with no previous knowledge of the campaigns.

I can't wait to see this at the weekend, followed by Gettyburg on the projector !

I would consider putting together a tour yourself....the guides at American battlefields are so good, you just have to get yourself there - organised tours can be restrictive and expensive, but standing on Little Round Top was a highlight and very moving.
