getting surround sound on ps3 without spending to much!

i have samsung surround sound with a upscaler dvd player, i want the surround sound to come out 5.1, only can get 2.1 at the moment. It has not got a digi out and just one hdmi port, it has a component out though, will this work or do i need a component in for it to work.

yamaha AV61, under £200 for amp and speakers inc sub
or Denon DHT1356-XP at just over £200. these seem to be best budget buy

il take a look cheers but if i have to spend i think am gonna buy a sony 910 amp, just wondered if mine would work through component.
